Girls to the Rescue
How do we help our community?
The St Pete Girl Bosses aren’t just the most powerful resource for entrepreneurial opportunity, we are also an integral part of our community.
We love getting involved and giving back.
The Lynn Gilliland Memorial Wellness Business Grant
Our dear friend Lynn Gilliland was one of the first members of The St Pete Girl Bosses as the “Outreach Coordinator” for her daughter Margo’s CBD shop, The Goods. She was everything our community stands for: involved, dedicated, ambitious, intelligent, kind, funny, and inspiring.
Sadly, Lynn passed suddenly on October 16, 2022, leaving her family, friends, and the SPGB Community devastated.
As a way to honor Lynn, we award one or more grants annually to women owning or operating brick and mortar wellness businesses.
We will begin taking applications in March 2023, for a July 2023 award around Lynn’s birthday.
What we have done and continue to do…
Serving dinner at Ronald McDonald House, St Pete East
Our first vendor market, benefitting EmpowHERment.
Awarding our first pitch contest winner, Shannon O’Brien with Apothecary at Home, her first prize award, sponsored by The Working Women Foundation of Tampa Bay.

Major efforts for Hurricane Ian recovery, in partnership with Ovations School for the Arts. These are ongoing for the time being.
Our non-profit sector, the Global Girl Boss Foundation.
Our vision is a world in which girls and women with entrepreneurial aspirations will have access to the financial resources necessary to make their business dreams a reality through education, mentorship, networking, funding, and programming.
